The Provincial Government has strengthened forest fire fighting capacity
in Northern Ontario.
The Ministry of Natural Resources is building a new facility in
Chapleau and upgrading the Management complex at the Greenstone Airport.
Debbie McLean says locally they are sitting in great shape.

McLean says the MNR has been working on establishing land based fire
centres and moving away from water based facilities for over a decade.
