The forest fire situation in northwestern Ontario is starting to heat up.
13-new fires have sparked over the past couple of days and more reports are being investigated.
Most of the fires are burning in the northern section of the region including the Red Lake District.
For most of the region, the fire hazard is high with pockets of extreme.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry says they are well equipped and prepared for any new starts during this warm period.
Meantime, although the fire situation in B.C. is still volatile, Ontario is starting to pull back fire crews.
More than 140-personnel have returned home and the total number of firefighters in British Columbia now stands at 393.
The province stresses the number of people in B.C. will continue to change, noting another 20 will be sent out west in the coming days.
Ontario has also provided B.C. with 10,000 lengths of fire hose, 200-pump kits and other equipment.
