Fire Hazard Jumps To Extreme In Parts Of Region

The forest fire hazard continues to rise across northwestern Ontario.

It’s listed as extreme in Kenora, Lake of the Woods and the Far North.

Otherwise, the hazard is listed as either high or moderate through the rest of the region.

Despite the recent hot and dry weather, there have been no new forest fires reported over the past couple of days.
