For the Ministry of Natural Resources, it all starts April 1st but at this point officials say it is still too early to predict what the next few months will be like.
Debbie McLean at the Dryden Fire Centre says the next 2 weeks will be important as the snow cover melts.
If the rain follows then things might be ok, but if not the crews can expect an early start.
