Fire Season Officially Underway

The 2006 fire season is officialy underway!
The Ministry of Natural Resources is already keeping busy, 6-days into
the new campaign.
Information Officer Debbie MacLean says training and preparing are the
main priorities right now.
A number of people have started their spring cleanup and MacClean is
urging everyone to use extreme caution when conducting outdoor burning due
to dry conditions.
The fire season started on April 1st and ends October 31st.
