The Dryden Fire Service has received a cheque for $50,000 from the Provincial Government.
Chief Darryl Herbert says the funding is a pleasant surprise and they
have not decided where the money will go.
Herbert says it can be used for training initiatives or to purchase
equipment but it can’t be spent on operations.
Every Municipality in the Province received cash with the exception of
Unincorporated areas including Oxdrift and Wabigoon.
