After a very busy July, things have slowed down for Ministry of Natural Resources fire crews.
The MNR says the fire hazard across the Northwest is low at this time.
Firefighters have been helped by rain and cooler temperatures.
About a half dozen new fires were reported Thursday in the Kenora, Sioux Lookout, Thunder Bay and Nipigon districts.
However, all of the blazes were small and quickly contained.
