Fires Quickly Contained Thanks to MNR

The heat combined with high winds forced Ministry of Natural Resources
fire crews into action over the weekend.
The MNR responded to 23-new fires across the District and Information
Officer Debbie McLean says thankfully all were kept under control.
McLean says the hazard remains in the high to extreme range because
of the high winds.
The MNR is not considering implementing a fire ban at this time
however McLean is not recommending open burning.
