First Generation Funding for Con College 2

The Provincial Government is hoping more Northwestern Ontario students
become the first in their family to attend a post-secondary institution.
The Liberals are giving Confederation College $400,000 to
develop programs to attract first-generation students.
College Spokesperson Reg Jones says they will be working with area
school boards.

Jones says the funding is needed as Northwestern Ontario doesn’t
participate in post-secondary education as highly as other jurisdictions.
