First Nations Feather of Hope Report

The voices of more than 160 youth from 64 of Ontario’s northern First Nation communities released a report today.
The Feather of Hope report was rolled out in Thunder Bay, Ottawa and Toronto.
It urges local, provincial, federal and First Nations leadership to partner with them to create safer and healthier First Nations communities.
Deputy Chief for Nishnawbe-Aski Nation Alvin Fiddler tells CKDR why the Feather of Hope report is unique.
“The fact that the report and the recommendations come directly from the youth, that this is their report, you can tell they put a lot of effort in writing the report.”
Fiddler is in full support of the Feather of Hope and is very committed to working with the youth on the report.
On the third week of March representatives from the Feather of Hope will be gathering in Thunder Bay to present their report to the NAN Chief and leadership.
