Some Conservative members of parliament have taken the first step towards scrapping the federal long gun registry.
A Saskatchewan MP introduced the bill in the House of Commons on Monday.
Kenora MP Greg Rickford says he wholeheartedly supports the bill.
Rickford says all the NDP Members of Parliament in Northern Ontario also supported the bill and he’s hoping that there is enough support to get it passed through the house.
