The Dryden Fire Service responded to 175-emergency calls last year, up from 165 in 2007.
The Service has released its final 2008 statistics with Firefighters safely logging 3,366 hours.
Officials say calls continue to rise steadily for motor vehicle collisions (a record 44), carbon monoxide alarms (15) and fire alarms (51).
However, calls to the Domtar Mill were at an all time low, with only 4-incidents.
The total dollar loss for 2008 was $398,000, with the loss of 2-residential homes.
Fortunately, no one was injured.
