Fort Frances Laker Tyler Ampe has been named SIJHL Player of the Week.
The 19-year-old goalie backstopped the Lakers to a pair of come-from-behind wins this past week.
Ampe made 37-saves and was named first star as Fort Frances beat Thunder Bay in overtime on Friday.
On Saturday, Ampe came off the bench and kept his club in it with 40-minutes of solid play as the Lakers completed a dramatic win against Sioux Lookout.
Ampe is a perfect 6-0 this season and leads all goalies in wins.
Dryden’s Tom Kuhn and Bryan Broders of Sioux Lookout received honourable mention.
