The Executive Director of the Fort Frances Volunteer Bureau is the first person to come forward to seek the NDP nomination in Kenora-Rainy River.
Matt Soprovich says this area needs a strong and powerful representative to enact change in Toronto.
Soprovich has lived in the riding for the better part of a decade and he decided it was time to take a run at provincial politics.
He adds the job of a politician is straightforward; “show up, try hard, care and put the hours in”. Soprovich says with the state of Ontario politics as it stands today, there’s no better time to offer voters what he knows is a better option. He adds he will be advocating for our region and our constituents and standing up an showing Toronto that we exist.
A date hasn’t been set for the NDP nomination meeting.
