A Fort Frances man has been fined $1,700 for unlawfully acquiring and transporting a bull moose.
Clifford Loveday plead guilty to the charges stemming from an incident last October.
Court was told Loveday and a U.S. resident hunted a moose near Graves Road, north of Fort Frances.
Another person, who holds First Nation Treaty status, was asked to retrieve the carcass and apply a big game export permit so it could be exported to a taxidermist in International Falls.
