Fraser Institute Releases Ontario Energy Report

Ontario needs to scrap its contracts for green energy projects.
That’s one of the recommendations in a new report by the Fraser Institute.
Author Tom Adams says wind, solar and hydro projects are responsible for soaring hydro rates in Ontario.
Adams says depending on the time-of-use, more than half of your hydro bill is now paying for expensive green energy projects.
He notes a line-item known as ‘Global Adjustment’ makes up about 6-cents per kilowatt hour of every hydro bill, but that number is expected to increase to 9-cents this month.
