Work on the Freedom Road to Shoal Lake #40 First Nation is proceeding on time.
That’s the latest word from the Chief of the island community.
Erwin Redsky says they hope to have the on-reserve portion of the project completed by October.
Redsky says after that, the second phase, which is about 16-kilometres, will go from the reserve to the Trans-Canada Highway.
He stresses they are taking the project “one step at a time”.
