Child welfare workers are investigating after two girls went on a railway joyride on a bone-chilling night just outside Thunder Bay.
The girls, aged six and seven, were found by searchers yesterday, huddled in a freight car in Hornepayne, northeast of Thunder Bay.
The youngsters had travelled hundreds of kilometres in temperatures of minus-25.
The girls, from Whitesand First Nation, were dressed for the cold, and apparantly suffered no ill effects.
