Funding For New And Expectant Mothers

Health Canada is contributing 65-thousand dollars to help new and expectant mothers in the Red Lake and Ear Falls areas.
Kenora-Rainy River MP Bob Nault made the official announcement today.
The funding under the Canada Prenatal Nutrition Program will go the Patricia Centre for Children and Youth.
Nault says the funding will hopefully help women avoid risky behaviour during pregnancy such as using drugs or alcohol and will mean healthier babies.
