Funding for Research Project in Kenora

Minister of Science and Technology Gary Goodyear announced a million dollar research partnership in Kenora Tuesday.
The money will be used to create the Common Ground Research Forum, which will include members of Council, Grand Council Treaty #3, and the University of Manitoba.
Goodyear notes the 6-year project will be used as a framework for other research projects in Canada.
Goodyear notes the project will look at the possible uses of Abitibi’s former property near Tunnel Island.
