A number of area projects benefitting the needy have received funding from the Kenora District Services Board.
Northland Supportive Housing has received 20-thousand dollars for the purchase of food and supplies to help those less fortunate.
As well, Ontario Works will use 14-thousand dollars for summer recreation projects for Dryden-area children.
The Dryden Mayors Committee for Children and Youth will spend 10-thousand dollars on child transportation services.
The KDSB has reinvested more than 845-thousand dollars for projects to help children and the homeless.
