Royal Canadian Legion branches across Canada continue to see dwindling numbers and very few fresh new faces.
The Deputy Commanding Officer of the Dryden Cadet Corp says it’s time to change that and get more young people involved.
Lieutenant Nick Rhone says having youth involved in November 11th ceremonies and other veterans activities is critical.
Rhone says many of us have forgotten the sacrifices made by our veterans and notes its important for the younger generation to get out and stand beside those who fought for their freedom.
He notes taking part in Remembrance Day ceremonies is a great way for youth to connect to that generation.
