Glen Archer Enters Kenora-Rainy River NDP Race

A Kenora correctional officer is the latest confirmed candidate to run for the NDP nomination in the Kenora-Rainy River Riding.

Glen Archer is a correctional officer in Kenora and he calls himself a seasoned critic of the Wynne government.

Archer says he’s been taking the Liberals to task for a long, long time and people tell him that it’s enough now to stop throwing stones and do something about it.

He says even though the NDP have held the riding for almost 20-years, the outcome of the election is not a forgone conclusion.

Archer notes he’s taking nothing for granted and the goal now is to get out there and provide education to constituents.

He stresses the timing is right with the departure of Sarah Campbell.

Matt Soprovich from Fort Frances is the only other declared candidate.

A date for the nomination meeting still hasn’t been set.
