Things are look up for the Weyerhaueser Timberstrand Mill in Kenora.
Plant Manager Bill Candline says market forecasts could lead to increased production.
He says says the biggest impact is coming from an increase in the housing market which could boost production at the mill.
Meanwhile, Candline says they have their own way of getting people on the job.
The mill has their own apprenticeship program at the plant.
Currently the mill operates 5 days a week with around 170 employees.
Candline says there is room to increase to 6 days a week and over 200 employees if forecasts are correct.
