Grand Council Treaty #3 Joins Protest

Grand Council #3 has joined Grassy Narrows First Nation in a blockade of a forestry road near Kenora.
The blockade was set up last Decemeber to protest Abitibi-Consolidated clear-cutting operations in the area.
A Treaty 3 Spokesperson says citizens and chiefs will continue to block the road until the MNR resolve the situation with Grassy Narrows and Abitibi.
The road remains open the public however the protest has disrupted movement and operations.
