Grassy Residents Rally Against Logging Activites

The Grassy Narrows First Nation is continuing to fight logging activities on their traditional lands.

A large group of residents rallied throughout Kenora yesterday.

Spokesmen for the rally Randy Fobister said the two big messages are to have the provincial and federal governments listen to their demands and to protecting the lands for the future.

The rally made stops outside the Weyerhaeuser mill, Ministry of Natural Resources office, and Kenora Forest Products. (Photo from CJRL)
