Kenora-Rainy River MPP Greg Rickford is excited to get down to business at Queen’s Park. Rickford has a full agenda as he is now responsible for Energy, Northern Development and Mines and Indigenous Affairs.
He says the duties won’t take away from his main priority and that’s representing local constituents.
Rickford says the portfolio is a great opportunity to be back at the big table and bring local concerns and opportunities to Toronto.
He is also anticipating a seamless transition to Indigenous Affairs, stressing he already has a long and rich relationship with several First Nations leaders.
In terms of Energy, Rickford says one concern is addressing the high cost of hydro and fuel in our region.
I was proud to use my daughters’ bibles to take the oath of office today. One was made by Abigail Mae at École Ste-Marguerite Bourgeoys and the other is Poppy Kate’s New Testament pic.twitter.com/yydHTS6Nll
