Kenora MP Says Trade War Could Cost Canadian Consumers

You will likely have to shop around if you want to save on some products at the grocery store.

New tariffs announced July 1st mean higher costs for some items in the latest trade war between Canada and the United States.

Kenora MP Bob Nault says in most cases, there should be a Canadian-made product you can buy, in place of a U.S. made item.

Nault says the tariffs will affect everything from pickles to toilet paper.

Nault is encouraging everyone to shop local.

He says we are in a trade war and it won’t come to an end anytime soon.

He stresses no one wins in this situation.
