The Municipality of Red Lake has hired a new Treasurer.
Rachelle Steele will assume the position on July 23rd.
Chief Administrative Officer Mark Vermette says Steele is from the area and knows and loves the Red Lake community.
Vermette says she will bring a lot of energy and experience to the position.
Steele has over twelve years of accounting experience and has both the CGA and CPA accounting designations.
She previously worked at the Goldcorp Red Lake Mine.
Vermette says that Steele is very analytical and can probably spot where money could be saved.
