Greyhound to Drop Fort Frances Bus Run

Greyhound says August 20 is the date it will
stop bus service between Fort Frances and Thunder Bay.

Earlier, the company had announced May 4 and July 4 as dates the service would end.

Mel Levandoski, Greyhound regional manager for Saskatchewan,
Manitoba, and northern Ontario, says the August date is a firm one. But Levandoski says it’s possible a third-party operator could take over the route prior to that date.

Levandoski says the company hasn’t had a ruling yet from the
minister of transportation’s office on whether or not Greyhound will be allowed to give up the route.
