A group of concerned citizens have voiced their displeasure over a
proposal to use taxpayer money to help get the Lifelease Seniors Complex off
the ground.
Gus Kropf represented the group at Dryden Council yesterday and stated
the City should not be in the business of loans and mortgages.
Kropf adds given the economic times, it doesn’t seem like a safe
investment for the Municipality.
He went on to say that the City doesn’t provide bridge-financing to
citizens who are looking to buy a home.
The City continues to study the proposal.
