Kenora-Rainy River MPP Howard Hampton says the Liberal government likely won’t be eliminating the levy, even though they promised no extra taxes.

Hampton noted that a couple who makes about $40,000 a year has seen their provincial income tax increase by 24 percent.
But someone making high end wages would have an increase of about three percent.
