Holiday Fire Safety #1

The holiday season is one of the deadliest times of the

year for house fires.

The Ontario Fire Marshall’s Office is encouraging

residents to take extra precaution during the winter

months.

Spokesperson Bev Gilbert says its especially important

for holiday party goers to abstain from cooking after a

night of celebrating.

Gilbert adds candles also pose a risk, with many people

placing them near wreaths and on flammable tablecloths.
