Several communities in northwestern Ontario will be
eligible for Gas Tax Funding this year.
The City of Kenora is eligible for 153 thousand dollars
in funding, while Dryden can access up to 71 thousand, and
Fort Frances 79 thousand.
Ministry of Transportation Spokesperson Bob Nichols says
the public transit initiative will help improve the
environment as well as the lives of Northerners.

The only other community in the Kenora and Rainy River
Districts eligible for funding is the Township of Machin,
which has been promised 10 thousand dollars.
