The Ministry of Transportation wants Northwestern
Ontario Communities to improve their transit systems.
Several municipalities in the region are eligible for
gas tax funding this year.
Spokesperson Bob Nichols says they’ve provided $314-
million dollars in grants to Municipalities across the
Province to enhance public transit.

promised $10,000. Kenora is eligible for $153,000 and Fort
Frances $79,000.
