The Keewatin Patricia District School Board says its

meeting guidelines set out by the Ministry of Education on

junk food in Elementary School Vending mac hines.

Superintendent of Education Wendy Parkin says the board

hasn’t had any trouble meeting the new Ministry regulations.

Parkin says seven schools out of the 18 in the board’s

area carried “unhealthy” items before the October 21st

deadline.

She adds shortly after, sugary sweets were replaced with

juice and other healthy food products.
