The Keewatin Patricia District School Board feels its

doing a good job promoting healthy lifestyle choices in

Elementary schools.

Superintendent of Education Wendy Parkin says many of

their healthy initiatives fall under the Ministry of

Educations new guidelines.

Seven out of 18 elementary schools in the Keewatin

District School Board sold unhealthy food items in their

vending machines before the ban on junk food went into

place this past fall.
