Kenora’s new directions counselling centre is receiving a
big boost in funding from the McGuinty government.
Anita Webb is with New Directions and says the 1-hundred
thousand dollars will go towards serving individuals in
Kenora, and the surrounding area.

Mental Health Organizations in Dryden, Red Lake, and
Sioux Lookout also received a hefty amount of funding for
their programs.
The monty is part of the government’s announcement of
27.5 million dollars in funding geared towards diverting
mentally ill offenders from jails, and into support
programs.
