Health Unit Reports Nine Active COVID Cases

The region now has nine active cases of COVID-19, down from 12 reported on Monday.The Northwestern Health Unit also reports two new cases of COVID-19 with one in the Sioux Lookout region and one in the Kenora region.

However, health officials say the Kenora case is no longer considered to be active.

Seven of the region’s active cases are in the District of Rainy River and two are in the Sioux Lookout region.

Ontario reports 577 new cases with 452 in individuals who are not fully vaccinated or have an unknown vaccination status.
