Health Unit Spending Municipal Money

The Northwestern Health Unit has started spending the extra money it has received this year from communities.
The Municipal Levy rose 36% and Medical Officer of Health Dr. Pete Sarsfield says that’s helped the Unit to increase hours for public health nurses, training for employees and resume health promotion campaigns.
Sarsfield says despite that they are still only providing the same level of service they did in 6 years ago.
He adds that 4 municipalities still haven’t paid up.
