Local communities continue to deal with the transition of legalized marijuana and the Northwestern Health Unit has vowed to help.
Health Promoter Stephanie Charles says they will support municipalities by offering information as Council’s consider their choice to opt out of retail distribution in 2019.
Charles adds there are some changes coming for the expansion of cannabis related to edible products as well as cannabis-use establishments and officials will assist communities on those changes.
She adds they are working with area schools to support young people to make informed substance use choices.
