Set Fines Released For Pot Use

The PC government has finalized set fines in respect to the consumption of cannabis.

Police agencies across Ontario have received a list of fines they can administer in the event of violating the Cannabis Act.

Anyone who sells or delivers pot to someone who appears to be under the age of 25 can be hit with a $400 penalty.

If you sell or distribute marijuana to an intoxicated person, you could also be slapped with a $400 fine.

Anyone under the age of 19 who is caught possessing, consuming or purchasing cannabis will be ordered to pay $100.

Driving or care or control of a vehicle or boat with marijuana in open packaging and readily available carries a $175 fine.
