Heat Stress Moose #1

The Ministry of Natural Resources believes warmer

summers, and a higher amount of deer are to blame for a

decrease in the Kenora area moose population.

Biologist Scott Mcaughey says area moose have been

affected by parasites found on deer such as Giant Liver

Fluke and Brain Worm.

Q:”…involved.” 20 seconds

Mcaughey expects the Ministry to increase deer tags for

this fall, since the population has exploded.
