Highway 17 Now Open

Traffic is finally moving again on Highway 17 west of Vermilion Bay.
The Trans-Canada was closed for roughly three hours after a tractor trailor unit jack-knifed just east of the Highway 71 junction around 4 o’clock this morning.
Roads in the area are listed as snow covered with poor visibility this morning.
There is one highway closure if you feel the need to travel east of Thunder Bay.
Highway 11 is now closed between Nipigon and Hearst due to poor road conditions and limited visibility.
