For a second straight day school buses won’t be running across the district.
Most of the area remains under a snowfall warning with a total of 25-centimetres forecast before the end of the day.
Road conditions are poor and the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium isn’t taking any chances.
Schools will remain open, however classes have been cancelled in Eagle Lake and Wabigoon.
The weather has forced the delay of game 1 of the NWOSSA Basketball championship.
The first game between Dryden and Thunder Bay at DHS is now scheduled for 7:30 tonight.
There is no word yet on the status of the Girls High School Hockey Semi-Final in Dryden.
The situation is worse in Thunder Bay.
All schools and City run day care centres are all closed.
If you are planning on catching a flight, you may want to double check.
At the Thunder Bay Airport…Air Canada has cancelled three of its early morning departing flights and the other airlines are showing cancellations or delays.
