Hit and Run Arrests

Red Lake OPP have finally laid charges in relation to a hit and run that led to a massive manhunt in July 2003.
The incident started when a stolen truck rammed a police cruiser on Highway 17 east of Vermilion Bay during a routine traffic stop.
The vehicle fled the scene and was later involved in a second
hit-and-run on Highway 105 near Ear Falls involving a police car.
The suspects escaped by foot leading to a lengthy search.
34-year-old Keith Polkinghorne of Surrey, British Columbia and 25-year-old Adam Tressel of Langely B.C. face a total of 24 charges.
The 2-men are serving time in Manitoba and British Columbia.
No Court date has been set.
