It can be called the ultimate ladies night.
The Red Lake ‘Hope and the City’ Gala is next Saturday at the Royal Canadian Legion.
JoAnn Brownlee and Robyn Clayfield were guests on the CKDR Morning Show Friday to announce that proceeds from the event stay in the community in support of the Canadian Cancer Society.
Funds will be used towards the purchase of a new chair for chemotherapy patients at the hospital.
The rest of the money will be used for research, prevention and ladies cancer awareness initiatives.
The theme this year is “Puttin’ on the Glitz”.
There will be a four course meal, cocktails, Hors D’oeuvres, dancing, prizes, draws and a Cancer Survivor Fashion Show.
Luminaries will be on sale and their will be other fundraising initiatives.
Tickets are $75/per person and they are available at Forever Green Gift Boutique.
Doors open at 5:00pm on September 15th.
