Hunger Strike Continues For Attawapiskat Chief

About 50 people from First Nations communities near Sioux Lookout are in Ottawa to show their support for Theresa Spence.
They left on Friday and a majority of them will remain in Ottawa until Tuesday.
The Attawapiskat First Nation Chief says she’s overjoyed that Prime Minister Steven Harper will meet with a delegation of First Nation Chiefs, but she says she will continue her hunger strike until that meeting happens.
Harper, along side Aboriginal Minister John Duncan, have planned the meeting for this Friday.
Meantime, an ex-prime minister is commending Theresa Spence’s hunger strike.
Paul Martin visited Spence over the weekend and says she’s an inspiration to all Canadians.
Spence stopped eating solid food on December 11th in a bid to secure a meeting between First Nations leaders and the Prime Minister.
