Hunting Appeal

The International Fund for Animal Welfare is calling on the Ontario government to give a commitment to ethical hunting in the next throne speech.
The call is a result of a recent Ontario Court of Appeal Decision rejecting several motions brought by the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters.
The decision strongly upheld the importance of ethical and humane hunting practices.
The animal rights group accuses the federation and other organziations of continuing to push for reinstatement of a variety of unethical hunting practices.
The Fund lists some of them as the spring bear hunt.
