The Dryden GM Ice Dogs continue to celebrate their second straight Bill Salonen Cup championship.
The Dogs defeated Thunder Bay 3-2 Saturday to claim the SIJHL title in six games.
Coach Kurt Walsten says his team was focused on the title, noting every time they go to the rink, they look to win.
Walsten says the North Stars have a great team but notes his players got stronger as the series went on.
The team held a barbeque Sunday afternoon with the cup.
Dryden GM will enjoy another day off Monday before returning to the ice Tuesday to prepare for the Dudley Hewitt Cup starting May 1st.
Thunder Bay will represent the SIJHL, while the Wellington Dukes punched their ticket into the Central Canadian championship with a 4-3 overtime win over Georgetown Sunday.
Cochrane and Rayside Balfour continue to battle for the final spot.
